Product Description

Function: ASTM D1525 four-group automatic lifting HDT/VST tester for plastics, rubber, nylon, and electrical insulation materials. It determines heat distortion temperature and Vicat softening point, complying with IS075(E), IS0306(E), GB/T8802, GB/T1633, GB/T1634, etc.

Test Method: A flat-ended needle with specified mass contacts the test specimen. The load can be:

10 ± 0.2N
50 ± 1.0N

Heating rates:

Rate A: 50 ± 5 °C/h
Rate B: 120 ± 10 °C/h

The temperature when the needle penetrates 1 ± 0.01 mm is the Vicat softening temperature.
